If you have a standard UK driving license, you are legally able to drive a cherry picker that weighs under 3 and a half tons. On top of this, if you acquired your driving license before 1994, you are able to operate cherry pickers that weigh up to 7.5 tons. To operate heavier, more specialised machinery, you must undergo sufficient training. ACS Access recommend that the operator is competent, including any relevant training, before driving any cherry picker or operating a boom lift.
The tallest truck mounted platform that we have available at ACS Access is the highly popular Palfinger WT700, that has a maximum working height of 70m.
With a closed length of 8.7m and a maximum reach height of 22m, our Ascendant truck is a real hit with customers who were initially looking for a transit cherry picker or other van mounted bucket lift. The dimensions compare favourably and this sturdy platform is perfect for similar maintenance tasks at height including signage, lighting, foliage control and roof inspections.
